Trump Won't Slow Smart Computers, Cites China

U.S. President Donald Trump rejected a request to slow building the most powerful AI, or computer systems that learn, from Anthropic leader Dario Amodei, joined by OpenAI, Google and Elon Musk. Trump said the U.S. must stay ahead of China. I see rule-makers squeezed by safety fears and competition with Beijing.
