Apple's Big U.S. Spending Plan May Cut Payouts to Investors

Apple promised to spend over $500 billion in the U.S. over four years. The company makes roughly $108 billion a year in cash from operations. That's only $430 billion over four years—not enough for huge spending plus the stock buybacks and dividend increases investors have come to expect.
