Why 13 Students and Researchers Are Stuck in Gaza

Thirteen Palestinian students and researchers who won places at Belgian universities are still trapped in Gaza because Belgium's five-party ruling team, headed by Prime Minister Bart De Wever, could not agree to bring them out. They will likely miss classes starting fall 2026. Italy and Britain managed similar rescues, raising questions about Belgium's ability to do the same.
