National wants Pak'nSave and New World split to cut food prices

National says Pak'nSave and New World should be split apart to bring down food prices, according to RNZ. The idea would need a six-month check by the Commerce Commission, which monitors fair competition. Farmers Weekly reported the split was a central part of its election pitch.
