Jean-Pierre Serre to Speak on His 100th Birthday

Jean-Pierre Serre will speak Sept. 15, 2026, 4-5 p.m. in the MPIM Lecture Hall for the Serre 100 event. Born Sept. 15, 1926 in Bages, he turns 100 that day. He is honorary professor at the Collège de France and won the 1954 Fields Medal, a top math prize, for work on the math of shapes.
