Profound raises $180 million to help businesses show up in AI answers

Profound announced Sept. 15 a $180 million Series D funding round, valuing the company at $1.8 billion, led by Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins. It makes tools helping businesses appear in AI chatbot answers. It closed a $96 million Series C funding round in March 2026. Existing investors Lightspeed, Khosla Ventures and South Park Commons participated.
