New South Wales Senator Sean Bell hired Lee Hanson, daughter of One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, as senior helper to work from Tasmania, Guardian Australia reported 15 September 2026. Like needing a manager's permission to work elsewhere: staff outside Canberra or their boss's home state need approval from the special minister of state, a senior minister. Bell asked for none.
