Microsoft fixes problems caused by its biggest-ever update

Microsoft started sending out urgent repairs on Sept. 14 to fix new problems caused by its September Patch Tuesday monthly security update. That September update repaired nearly 1,000 security holes, described as its biggest ever. The new problems affected businesses, software builders, and video game players.
