Hungary proposes ending ban on mentioning gay people to children

Hungary's government sent lawmakers a bill late Monday to end its 2021 ban on showing or promoting homosexuality and gender transition to children. Prime Minister Peter Magyar said the rewritten child-protection law would set the same rule for everyone — like one curfew for all teens — regardless of sexual orientation, to meet European Union standards.
