Volkswagen goes 400 miles on small battery

Volkswagen showed its Mission Efficiency prototype on Sept. 14, 2026. With an ID. Polo motor and 54.9-unit battery, like a small fuel tank, it went over 400 miles. That is almost twice as efficient as the Lucid Air Pure, rated at 420 miles from an 84-unit pack. It was not an official U.S. test.
