Trump Names Corporate Lawyer to Run U.S. Intelligence Agencies

President Trump picked Jay Clayton to lead the nation's intelligence agencies on June 11. Clayton is a lawyer who worked in corporate law and ran the Securities and Exchange Commission from 2017 to 2020. He has not worked in intelligence or spying. The Senate will hold a hearing on his nomination June 17.
