Your Car's Voice Helper Is Changing to Gemini

Gemini is replacing Google Assistant as the voice helper in cars using Android Auto, now offered everywhere. Drivers turn it on themselves in Settings > Connected devices > Android Auto > Manage your digital assistant > Gemini. It remembers the conversation, like a passenger following along, so directions, media and follow-up questions need less repeating.
