Police in Turkey hold 47 in gay bar raids

Turkey police held 47 in raids across 12 regions on gay bars and activists’ homes, officials said. The raids are part of the government’s “My Family is Safe” drive to protect family values. Being gay is not a crime in Turkey, but gay couples cannot marry. Kaos GL counted 50 held.
