Woman in charge of housing during Grenfell fire gets permanent London housing job
Laura Johnson led housing in Kensington and Chelsea when Grenfell Tower burned in 2017. She now has a permanent senior job overseeing building and repairs at the Barnet Group, which looks after 13,000 publicly owned homes. She had filled the £157,078-a-year post temporarily since before August. Barnet says she beat other applicants fairly.
