
Carers May Wait Until 2054 for Money Back
UK carers wrongly asked to repay carer's allowance, a payment for looking after family, could wait until 2054 for refunds at the current pace of the DWP, the benefits office, charities warn. A two-year check started in April covers 200,000 cases, with about 25,000 carers expected refunds. It raises questions if staff can fix old errors while new ones continue.
