Databricks announced LTAP on June 16, claiming to merge two separate types of database work—storing daily transactions and analyzing historical data—onto a single system. The technology, called Lakebase, aims to handle both fast writes and complex analysis without switching between platforms. Pricing and availability remain unclear.
