A UK party just got a record £72m gift

Reform UK, a British political party, received £72m in one day — two £36m cheques from wealthy digital-money investors Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne. That is the largest gift ever to a UK party. Harborne's money, announced 12 September 2026, had already arrived. The party plans to hire about 400 local campaign leaders in areas it wants to win.
