U.S. plans heavy new tax on Canadian goods; economist warns of 90,000 jobs lost

The U.S. plans to add a 50 per cent tax on $28 billion of Canadian goods, Prime Minister Mark Carney said Aug. 21. That tax, called a tariff, makes imported goods cost more.
