New flip phone lets you use apps but stops you from scrolling social media

Commodore released a $499 flip phone that runs Android apps but prevents access to social media and web browsers. The idea is to let people keep the useful parts of a smartphone — messages, maps, email — without the addictive scrolling. It looks retro, like phones from decades past. Whether the blocking actually works as promised isn't yet clear.
