
Israel's Beirut Strikes Put US-Iran Peace Deal at Risk
Israel bombed Beirut on June 14, breaking a ceasefire from June 1. Now a new US-Iran peace agreement, announced June 15, hangs in the balance. Iran says the strikes could kill the deal, which was supposed to pause fighting for 60 days while lifting some financial penalties and opening nuclear talks. If Israel keeps attacking, Iran may walk away entirely.
