
Britain Prosecutes Russian Oil Tanker Captain—A New Approach to Stopping Sanctions Cheating
The UK has charged the captain of a Russian oil tanker caught smuggling oil in defiance of Western sanctions. This is the first time the West has criminally prosecuted an individual for operating what's known as a shadow fleet—informal networks that bypass oil embargoes.
