Prime Minister doesn't face the same questioning as other ministers

Starting June 16, Scrutiny Week requires ministers to explain their spending plans to Parliament's committees — a tough grilling that lasts four days. The Prime Minister doesn't participate. Because New Zealand has only one House of Parliament, the PM avoids this scrutiny that other ministers have to face.
