British Navy intercepts Russian oil tanker in English Channel

British forces boarded a Russian oil tanker in the English Channel on June 14 that the U.S. and allies had blacklisted for helping Russia. It was the first time the Royal Navy stopped a Russian oil ship. Britain gave its navy permission in March to seize such vessels in British waters. The move disrupts how Russia moves oil to fund its war in Ukraine.
