Anthropic's Claude AI can now match performance of ChemDraw, software chemists have relied on since the 1980s to identify unknown chemical compounds. The AI was trained with chemists to predict molecular fingerprints from lab data. If it works in practice, drug discovery teams could verify new compounds faster.
