Delaware Wins Safety Protections in OpenAI Overhaul

Delaware's attorney general has approved OpenAI's shift from a nonprofit to a for-profit company, but only after securing safety commitments and structural reforms. Delaware had leverage because it oversees the nonprofit's assets. The approval came as 44 other states investigated OpenAI's practices involving child safety and how the company is run.
