GSK Buys Cancer Drug Company for $10.6 Billion
Drug maker GSK agreed to buy Nuvalent, a U.S. company that develops cancer medicines, for $10.6 billion. It's GSK's biggest acquisition in 13 years. Nuvalent specializes in treating lung cancer that resists standard drugs—an area where GSK has gaps. The deal reflects GSK's shift toward specialty drugs after selling its consumer health business in 2022.
