
World Health Deal Agreed, but Money and Access Still Unresolved
The WHO finalized a pandemic plan in May 2025, but left two crucial problems unsolved: how to pay for vaccines and medicines, and how to get them to poorer countries fast. Without these answers, the next outbreak could spread unchecked—poor regions can't contain disease if they can't access treatments. Negotiations continue into 2026, but the framework remains incomplete.
