For the first time, a rival app store is available on Google Play

US Android users can now download Aptoide Games directly from Google Play, the first competing app store to appear inside Google's own shop. Google allowed it after a July 22 policy change required by a 2024 court ruling in the Epic Games case. Users install it normally — no manual file downloads needed.
