Republican and Democratic 2026 Candidates Unite on AI Data Center Moratoriums

Republican Ohio governor nominee Vivek Ramaswamy and Democratic candidates Amy Acton in Ohio and Francesca Hong in Wisconsin have each proposed moratoriums on AI data center construction. A Gallup poll found 7 in 10 Americans oppose a data center in their area. Reuters called the opposition "one of the rare issues galvanizing voters across party lines."
