Michigan Lifts Bagged Salad Advisory as Cyclospora Outbreak Wanes

On August 6, 2026, Michigan's health department lifted its precautionary advisory against eating bagged salad mixes, stating contaminated produce was likely no longer available and new Cyclospora cases were slowing. The outbreak reached 2,640 reported cases as of July 13. The FDA separately linked a 15-state outbreak to recalled Taylor Farms iceberg lettuce.
