Murkowski Opposes Blanche for Attorney General, Leaving Cassidy as Deciding Vote

Senator Lisa Murkowski announced on August 7 she will vote against confirming Todd Blanche as attorney general. With Susan Collins also opposed, Louisiana's Bill Cassidy is the sole undecided Republican whose vote will determine whether Blanche — Trump's former personal lawyer, already serving as acting attorney general — is confirmed before the Senate's five-week August recess.
