Thetford Protesters Target Asylum Seeker Homes After Address List Circulates Online

After a list of landlord-contracted asylum seeker addresses spread online, dozens of Thetford protesters threatened five men at a residence — smashing a window, damaging a fence and letterbox, and attempting to break in. Over two nights, more than 100 gathered; two men were arrested and three officers injured. Labour MP Terry Jermy condemned the violence as "mob rule" whipped up by "outside forces." A man in his 40s remains in custody; Brian Thompson, 68, faces court 25 August for possessing a wooden bat.
