A migrant boat near Boulogne-sur-Mer caught fire after most of its 157 passengers refused overnight rescue and pressed on toward the UK. French and British coastguards then evacuated everyone on board. The incident comes two weeks into PM Andy Burnham's premiership, with over 2,000 small-boat crossings recorded since he took office pledging to be "relentless" in stopping them.
