Apple to Build iPhone-to-Windows Copy-Paste After Microsoft's DMA Request

Apple committed to developing seamless copy-paste between iPhones and Windows PCs using AccessorySetupKit, following Microsoft's March 2026 request through Apple's EU interoperability system. Apple called it a significant engineering effort, targeting fall 2027 completion with EU-only beta testing to follow. Users would consent once per paired device. Availability outside the EU remains unclear.
