Ukrainian Drone Strike Near Moscow Kills Five in Multi-Site Campaign Across Russia

At least five people were killed and 10 injured when Ukrainian drones struck a warehouse in Novoselki, Chekhov — 69km south of the Kremlin — overnight on August 4, 2026, according to Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov. The strike was part of a coordinated overnight wave targeting at least seven Wildberries logistics hubs across Russia, from Stavropol to St Petersburg. Russia's defence ministry said it intercepted 320 drones. Ukraine alleges Wildberries depots supply the Russian military; Moscow denies the claim. The campaign has escalated since mid-July.
