Arizona Supreme Court: Clergy Need Not Report Child Abuse Learned in Confession

Arizona's Supreme Court ruled unanimously that clergy who learn of child abuse during religious confession are not required to report it. The court held that the First Amendment bars judges from determining what qualifies as a confession, leaving that definition to churches.
