Reform UK Proposes Joint Military Command to Intercept Migrant Boats in the Channel

Reform UK proposed a joint military command drawing on the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, RAF, and British Army to intercept migrant boats in the English Channel and return them to France. Farage called it the "largest military operation in the English Channel since World War Two." The Conservatives floated similar plans but abandoned them over legal and treaty concerns. Retired Royal Navy commander Tom Sharpe said the proposal "lacks quite a lot of substance."
