Alan Jones pleads not guilty as Sydney assault trial opens

Alan Jones, 85, the former Sydney talkback radio broadcaster and national rugby coach, pleaded not guilty to 22 charges of indecent assault and sexual touching. Prosecutors allege he assaulted six young men between 2003 and 2020. The judge-alone trial at Sydney's Downing Centre is expected to run four months with 76 witnesses. All six alleged victims are said to have been significantly younger than Jones.
