Four Labour-affiliated unions to boycott 2026 Labour Women's Conference over trans ban

Unison, Usdaw, Aslef and the Musicians' Union will boycott the 2026 Labour Women's Conference in Liverpool after Labour barred trans women from the main hall. Labour said the ban complies with equalities law following the April 2025 Supreme Court ruling defining "woman" by biological sex. The BBC understands more affiliated unions may follow.
