Father of Apalachee High Shooter Sentenced to 15 Years — Third U.S. Parent Held Criminally Liable for Child's Mass Shooting

A Georgia judge sentenced Colin Gray to 15 years in prison on 27 charges including second-degree murder, after a jury convicted him in connection with his son's 2024 Apalachee High School shooting that killed four. Prosecutors sought 80 years; the defense asked for 10. This is only the third time a U.S. parent has been held criminally responsible for a mass shooting by their child.
