Trump Publicly Invites Teen Lifeguard Ryder Williams to White House, but Family Says No Official Contact Yet

President Trump posted on X that he would award 16-year-old California lifeguard Ryder Williams a "high civilian honor" and invited his family to the White House after Williams's July 25 rescue of 10-year-old Nathaniel Rai from 8-to-10-foot waves at Seabright Beach went viral. Williams's father, Shane Williams, told the New York Post the family had received no official communication from the administration about the invitation.
