French Firefighters Shield Missile and Rocket Material Sites From Bordeaux-Area Mega-Fire

A mega-fire near Bordeaux remained out of control as of July 27. French firefighters deployed special measures to protect nearby Seveso-classified defense and aerospace sites — facilities manufacturing hazardous materials for missiles and rockets. Sixteen departments were under orange heatwave alerts, with temperatures forecast up to 41°C. The mayor of Le Barp warned the situation was "getting harder."
