Taylor says 'no payment was made' but his office references donation disclosure rules — and won't explain the gap

Angus Taylor told a July 29 press conference: "no payment was made." His spokesperson separately said donations are declared in accordance with the rules. One denies a transfer; the other presupposes donations occurred. His office has not clarified the discrepancy. Taylor is not accused of wrongdoing and has not been contacted by ICAC.
