Former FCC Chairs From Reagan to Obama Eras Warn ABC License Review Is Unconstitutional

Former FCC chairs Mark Fowler (Reagan), Alfred Sikes (H.W. Bush), and Thomas Wheeler (Obama) filed with the FCC on July 28, 2026, calling its review of eight ABC stations' licenses "unprecedented in the history of the Federal Communications Commission" and "a grave violation of both the Communications Act and the Constitution." Reply filings close August 5.
