
NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Opposes Arming Jewish Security Group, Clashing With Premier's Stance
NSW Premier Chris Minns' government is "actively considering" expanding firearms access for the Community Security Group (CSG), a Jewish event security organisation. Deputy Commissioner David Hudson told the royal commission into antisemitism on 27 July 2026 that arming private security for specific groups "would certainly be looked upon by others as the police or governments showing favouritism." Hudson prefers a "user pays" policing model instead.
