God of War Laufey Puts Faye, Not Kratos, in the Lead

Santa Monica Studio's next God of War installment, Laufey, makes Faye — Kratos's wife — the playable protagonist for the first time in the franchise. Following her death in God of War Ragnarok, Faye navigates the gods' afterlife to save those she loves. The PS5 exclusive launches February 16, 2027, with release date confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con.
