Pentagon and Central Command give conflicting accounts of soldiers' deaths in Jordan

The Pentagon identified two Army soldiers killed in Jordan as 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan, 25, of Hawaii, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas. The DOD described their mission as counter-ISIS operations. Yet US Central Command attributed their deaths to defending against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks. The DOD labeled only Gonzales "killed in action," leaving Feehan's circumstances undisclosed.
