Adobe's Project Indigo Now AI-Critiques Your Photos, Including 'Emotional Impact'

Adobe's experimental iOS camera app, Project Indigo, now offers AI-generated photo critiques in real time, evaluating framing, lighting, colors, and "emotional impact." Led by Marc Levoy and launched in 2025, the app also added AI object removal, depth-of-field simulation, and style transfer. Adobe has not disclosed the training data or criteria behind the critique model, which renders subjective aesthetic judgments at the moment of capture.
