FDA Rules Cyclospora Test on Taylor Farms Lettuce Was a False Positive, Invalidating Recall

The FDA determined that a Cyclospora test on iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico was a false positive, per July 20 reporting from Forbes and Fox Business. The result had triggered a recall across Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia. The FDA notified Taylor Farms of the revised finding and, per the company's July 19 statement, apologized. The FDA has not yet published a corrected announcement.
