Northern Territory Police released photographs and body-worn camera footage on 14 July 2026 marking the 25th anniversary of Peter Falconio's murder on Australia's Stuart Highway. Falconio, a 28-year-old British backpacker, was killed in 2001; his girlfriend Joanne Lees survived the attack. Convicted killer Bradley John Murdoch died last year without disclosing the remains' location. The investigation remains open under NT protocols.
